Visit the areas numerous antique and crafts shops, art galleries, or spend the day shopping at the nearby Tanger Outlets Center in Tilton or North Conway. Keepsake Quilting, a mail order quilting company in Center Harbor, is quilting nirvana for those interested in this craft. Pepi Herrmann’s Studio, showcases this Gilford artist’s world-famous hand-cut crystal. Numerous artists open their area studios and the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen has several juried crafts shops in the area. Local playhouses offer summer schedules and the Silver Arts Center in Plymouth has cultural events throughout the year.

Nearby Concord is rich in historical activities and its Main Street is on the National Historic Register. You can visit the Capitol, the New Hampshire Museum of History, the New Hampshire Historical Society and the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium in one well-planned day. The activities, attractions and scenery are infinite which is why so many guests return each year, often in another season.
